Paul is a calm, supportive walk leader based in Guildford, known for his inclusive approach and steady, confidence-building style on the trail. With a strong focus on wellbeing and group cohesion, he works alongside Pete and Sue to help deliver safe, enjoyable, and thoughtfully planned hikes across the Surrey Hills, the North Downs Way, and beyond.
Supportive and People-Focused: Paul brings a reassuring presence to every hike, offering encouragement, clear communication, and a relaxed pace that helps walkers of all abilities feel comfortable. He keeps groups together and creates an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
Qualifications and Experience: Paul has been a qualified Mountain Leader (ML) for 30 years and has led groups and teams in hill and mountain environments across the UK and overseas. He is also a North Downs Way Ambassador, holds an Outdoors First Aid Certificate, He is DBS checked as he regularly supports a local school with their Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
Paul enjoys inspiring people of all backgrounds to discover the benefits of walking, adventure and time spent in nature, while championing responsible access and care for the countryside.
